Meagan SmartMy educational career in Tennessee consisted of several wonderful programs at Fisk University, Tennessee State University, and Lipscomb University. I began working for Metro Nashville Public Schools as an exceptional education assistant in 2011. As I was working in this position, I pursued my master’s degree in Elementary Education. I went on to become a third-grade teacher for several years at Thomas Edison Elementary School. I pursued my English Language Learner Endorsement becoming an ELL Teacher. I then began working at Glencliff Entrepreneurship STEAM Magnet School in several positions including, ELL Teacher, Title 1 SIT Lead, Testing Coordinator, Magnet School of America School Coordinator, and Community Achieves Coordinator. I received my doctoral degree and administrative licensure from Lipscomb University in 2016.
