"The fellowship has truly enlightened me and given me the connections and knowledge to continue my work in education policy. I now have a better understanding of how to advocate for equity, where to go, and how to say it. I am truly thankful for this experience and I will remember it for a lifetime." Alumni, 2020-2021 cohort
What are Alumni saying?
"Before last year I wasn't sure how much longer I would be able to stay in the profession. Without having other educators of color to connect with in my building, it was hard to want to push through the microaggressions, systematic obstacles, and violence that happen on a daily basis. After the fellowship, I have a renewed sense of purpose in the field and desire to grow in my knowledge and expertise. I am also now an associate dean of academics at my school with an emphasis on culturally responsive practices in the classroom and assessing our academic policies for equity. I never would've imagined wanting to pursue something of that nature! Lastly, I am wanting to pursue a doctorate in education policy within the next three years." Fellow 2020-2021
