René DillardMANAGER
René Dillard serves as Manager, Early Literacy for United Way of Greater Nashville where she facilitates collective impact work for the Blueprint for Early Childhood Success initiative. She previously worked in Talent and Workforce Development at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to her role at United Way, she also served in various freelance researcher roles, including at Centerstone Research Institute, Vanderbilt University Department of Special Education, and the Envision Edgehill Community Project in conjunction with the Metropolitan Department of Housing Agency. Her interests are in education research, policy development, access to early childhood education opportunities, and empowering parents as partners in schools. She is a former public school teacher, having taught second grade in the state of Texas. Ms. Dillard currently holds the following: MPP, Education Policy (Vanderbilt); and B.A. Anthropology (University of Chicago).
