Portia Thompson

Portia Thompson is an 18-year urban educator from Chattanooga, TN. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor's of Science in Secondary English Education and a Master's of Education in Teacher Leadership. She has taught English/Language Arts and Social Studies at four urban schools in Chattanooga: The Howard School, Tyner Middle Academy, Orchard Knob Middle, and East Ridge Middle. She plans on teaching English at Tyner Academy in the fall. An impressive teacher that loves learning and her students, she also loves supporting teachers in becoming more successful in their craft.
