Nacole Steward GwathneyI am Nacole Steward Gwathney and I have been a school counselor in KCS for 8 years. Before transitioning to counseling, I taught middle and high school ELA for 8 years. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Alcorn State University and a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Houston, TX. Since moving to Knoxville, I have been fortunate to serve as
president of the Smoky Mountain Counseling Association which collaborates with counseling professionals in 16 EAST TN counties. Currently, I serve on the Tennessee Counseling Association Governing Council Board. I am a proud member of the American School Counseling Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I believe mental health and social-emotional learning within educational settings is a vital asset to our school culture. |
