Jennifer Whitlow

Jennifer Whitlow knows that a good education can change anyone but a good teacher can change everything. This is her 16th year with Murfreesboro City Schools where she has taught kindergarten and second grade. She is currently a Gifted Specialist for the district providing enriched academics to students are Intellectually Gifted. Ms. Whitlow also supports classroom teachers with meeting the needs of gifted and high-achieving learners. She has a passion for teaching young children and majored in Early Childhood Education at Middle Tennessee State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree and Master of Education degree. Ms. Whitlow was the 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year. Ms. Whitlow is a dedicated educator who works diligently to create an equitable learning environment for students and teachers. She has a passion for increasing professional knowledge and self-effectiveness. Ms. Whitlow strongly believes a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. that says, “Whatever your life’s work is, do it well.”
