Daven Oglesby

​Daven Oglesby is a transplant to Nashville, coming from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Coming from a family of educators, his career in education began with substitute teaching with Metro Nashville Public Schools. It was during this time that he learned he had a passion for working with elementary students, and decided to become a paraprofessional. Upon being accepted into the Lipscomb University inaugural EA Teaching Fellowship cohort to pursue his teaching license, Daven found his calling for working with students with disabilities. Daven currently teaches Exceptional Education at Lakeview Elementary Design Center. Daven completed his  Master’s degree in Special Education at Lipscomb University and was recently accepted into Tennessee State University’s inaugural Aspiring Assistant Principals Project.
