Aleah Guthrie

DIRECTOR OF POLICY AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS, TN SCORE

​Aleah Guthrie leads policy and government relations work for the Tennessee State Collaborative on Reforming Education (SCORE). Aleah’s work focuses on building strategic relationships and shaping policy conversations to improve outcomes for K-12 and post-secondary students in Tennessee. Prior to joining SCORE in 2020, Aleah served as the director of policy at the Tennessee Department of Education. She began her career in education as a seventh-grade English teacher in Metro Nashville Public Schools. Aleah holds a master’s degree in public policy from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University and a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College. She and her husband, Scott, enjoy gardening and living in downtown Nashville.
