James Slay II

My name is James Slay II. I am currently an Assistant
Principal at Green Magnet Academy in Knox County
Schools. Previously, I was a 5th Grade teacher, and I loved
every second of it! I became an administrator to make a
positive impact in education by promoting diversity,
equity, and a high-quality education for every student. I
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary
Education from South College and a Master of Education
degree in Educational Administration (Leadership
Academy) from The University of Tennessee. I am currently
a doctoral candidate at The University of Tennessee
working towards an ED.D in Educational Leadership and
Administration.
