Dr. Troy Yarbrough

Troy K. Yarbrough, originally from Louisville, MS, has served as an educator for eight years in Mississippi and Tennessee with four years teaching exceptional education and four years teaching science. Dr. Yarbrough received his Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Mississippi State University in 2012. In 2016, he received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University and his Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership and Strategic Change from Lipscomb in 2020. Throughout his career, Dr. Yarbrough has worked closely with schools and organizations to help create equity in the classroom, recruit, and mentor new teachers, and integrate technology into the classroom. His passions are serving underrepresented communities, creating equitable learning experiences for students, and recruiting minority teachers. His teaching philosophy is that every child deserves a champion. His favorite quote is “I’m not saying that I’m going to change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the word”-Tupac Shakur. In his free time, Dr. Yarbrough enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, fishing, reading, watching sports, and gaming.
