Emergency Service Nets
NOTE: This page will be revised and will include a listing of all known ARES and other Emergency Service Nets.
The Cumberland County Emergency Service Net is conducted every Sunday at 2000 (8:00 p.m.) Central Time. This net is open to all licensed operators interested in Emergency Service. The net is held on the 146.865 (PL 118.8) repeater with an alternate of 146.805 (PL 131.8). If you need a copy of the Net Preamble it is just a mouse click away.
In the event the repeaters are not available the net will be conducted on a Simplex frequency of 147.420 MHz. It is suggested that everyone program 147.420 into their radios in case a simplex frequency is required. Tone Alert will be used using a PL tone of 88.5 Hz.
The Roane County Net is conducted every Tuesday (except the third Tuesday of the month) at 1930 Central time. The repeater frequency currently being used is 147.330 MHz with a PL tone of 82.5 Hz. The 147.015 repeater is currently being repaired. Once it is back in service the weekly Roane nets will return to that repeater. The alternate repeater is 442.875
A weekly state-wide mTEARS Net (ARES/SKYWARN) is conducted on the UHF linked repeater system. This net is at 2000 hours (8 p.m.) Central Time on Monday evenings. Our local repeater is 443.875 (PL 88.5). Timely and valuable training is presented on each of these nets. We will attempt to rebuild the MTEARS data that used to be available on another web site. In the meantime here is a temporary map depicting the coverage areas for several of the repeaters that are linked in the MTEARS network.
Other helpful forms and instructions that are used on our nets can be downloaded here:
