Tennessee Emergency Communications Association

TNECA MISSION

The mission of the Tennessee Emergency Communications Association (TNECA) is to develop and optimize working relationships between volunteer emergency communications organizations within TN, offer training, enhance preparedness and coordinate the deployment of these resources when requested by the served agencies.

“Mutual Support Agreements” are developed between the respective entities which provide for the sharing of both trained personnel and physical assets.  TNECA also provides emergency communications support during national level disasters such as Hurricane Katrina.

Preparation for this important support function is accomplished by:

§         Regular Meetings with Specialized Training Programs

§         Coordinated Development of Communications Systems

§         Completion of Formal Training Courses (FEMA/TEMA)

§         Weekly Emergency Training Nets

§         Emergency Exercises

§         Joint Training with Served Agencies

To be USEFUL, we MUST be READY.
To be READY, we MUST be TRAINED.
To be TRAINED, we MUST plan AHEAD.
